About Me
I founded Jem Travel because I believe Indochina deserves better than the standard loop.
I studied Italian language and culture at Hanoi University, then went on to earn my Master's in Tourism Management from the University of Calabria, Italy. For ten years, I designed tour itineraries for European travelers across Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos — long enough to see, again and again, the gap between what agents promise their clients and what actually happens on the ground.
In 2024, I started Jem Travel — a boutique DMC built around a simple idea: itineraries should never be overloaded. Two meaningful experiences, done well, beat five rushed ones. Our guides are trained as storytellers, not schedulers. And every itinerary can flex, even mid-trip, because travel rarely goes exactly to plan — and that's often where the best stories happen.
This site is where I share what I've learned along the way: notes from site inspections, thoughts on how a region is changing, the small details that make a destination feel lived-in rather than visited.
